Job Description

Ledgent Finance and Accountign has a business serviecs partner located Nera the Bloomington area need to add to their Accounts Receivable team!

  • Pay: $25-$30/hr
  • Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and distribute accurate and timely customer invoices

  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payment, and other irregularities

  • Conduct proactive outreach (phone, email) to business clients for payment collection

  • Resolve payment discrepancies and work with internal teams (sales, customer service, etc.) to address billing issues

  • Apply cash receipts, adjustments, and credit memos accurately in the accounting system

  • Maintain detailed records of collection efforts and customer communications

  • Review aging reports regularly and prioritize collection efforts accordingly

  • Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile accounts and month-end AR close

  • Escalate accounts as needed for further collection activity or legal action

  • Assist with credit checks, setting customer credit limits, and managing risk exposure

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable and B2B collections

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to AR

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and Excel

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
